OpenAI and AeonAI Features
AeonAI uses OpenAI as a third-party AI provider for certain AI features. When you use AeonAI chat features, AeonAI may send OpenAI your text messages, recent conversation context needed to reply, and saved persona or preferred-name context only when you have set it and it is used to generate a response.
When you use AeonAI voice features, AeonAI may send OpenAI submitted voice audio for speech-to-text, transcript text needed to generate a reply, and generated reply text when producing voice replies or text-to-speech. Engine AI Labs does not normally store raw voice audio on its servers as part of routine voice processing.
Other Third-Party Service Providers
We may also use third-party service providers to help operate our services. Depending on the feature used, this can include email delivery providers for password reset and report emails, Open-Meteo for weather, geocoding, and location-based time lookups, Google News and YouTube sources for news and media lookups, and Apple Music or iTunes services for music lookups.
What Third-Party AI Providers Process
Third-party AI providers process the content needed to fulfill your request. For AeonAI, that may include user messages, recent conversation context, saved persona or preferred-name context when used in chat, submitted voice audio, transcript text, and generated reply text needed for voice features.
What Engine AI Labs Stores Server-Side
- Routine AI request processing: some request content is processed to fulfill your request. Based on current AeonAI behavior, routine AI chat requests are not normally stored by us as persistent server-side chat history.
- Direct messages, contacts, and account data: direct messages, contact relationships, login sessions, usage records, and account settings may be stored on our servers to operate the product.
- Reports and safety records: if you submit a report, we may store related report, support, safety, and legal records on our servers, including message identifiers, report details, and transcripts that you include in a report.
